I have a new camera and would like to expand my skills.. I´ve been outside for most of the day so I would like to do some indoor photography. preferably some deep/poetic but "simple" themes/things.. Since I´m not very good at photoshop etc.

If it helps I have a dog, a great book collection, a mac (lol) and everything that usually makes up a single bacelors apartment (empty vodka bottles etc).

Any ideas, link to photography, link to sites etc?

Practice, taking a shot of anything, preferably with lots of contrast and colors then concentrate on getting as much saturation as possible on your shots while using the flash.

Use the items you have in your bachelor pad and place various numbers of the items on a table with a white or black cover over the top of the table. Adjust the items in such a way so the light will cast shadows of some of the items over the other items and the cloth on the table. The medium you'll use is the shape and angles of the shadows, using your artistic ability to create a photograph that is pleasing to you, the artist, and ask your friends if they like your photos. You will have created a piece of art using photography, various items, and shadows to express your artistic talent that's satisfying to you first and then to others. Remember, you are creating this for yourself to express your artistry, not for what you think others may want to invision. This is your vision and whatever you create is your vision and how you see that which is within your vision.
