How can you make a picture look older then it is?

Question

Say for example i want my picture to look like it was taken in 1970's then 2010. For example http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/86/Fire_RNC_protest_NYC_A29.jpg What do i have to do??

If you want a picture to look like that try turning down the contrast and the color saturation.

That picture isn't that old. In the early 90s we were still using video cameras that took VHS tapes.

Try picnik.com.



Then under the create tab, go to effects, scroll down to the bottom for cross process. From there, if you up the exposure it helps too. Photos that are slightly washed out always look older.
