The photos are actually taken from an interesting angle but to make the thing complete, try shooting from the top while making the iPhone 'stand'. Maybe you should work on the lighting part, make the photos more vibrant but not dazzling. Also, try not to insert other foreign bodies in the picture ( like magazine articles) as this could divert one's attention away from the main object.

Yes I think they could be classed as advertising photography but you can still improve.

Hope I helped!

No.

They are more like product photography.

Advertising needs strong visual statement with a clear marketing direction. Such as narrative based on a life style or the type of person that will enjoy the product.

Lighting can be improved by using a soft box diffuser on studio flash or bouncing a light off white card. You can use a tripod and tungsten light. Try to avoid sheen on the glass by placing the light at an angle to the product. Look for background material that will add impact, my sample has product propped up so it appears to float on holographic wrapping material. I used 2 exposures one for the background and one for the product and blended them using layers.

Still-life advertising photography requires meticulous attention to detail, fingers marks, reflections and clean highlights.

Yes and no.

They could be used in advertising, *** a funky/ off-the-wall type advert, with a dynamic selling point/structure.

Yet the aren't stereotypical, so to speak.
