I am a photographer looking for a place to store photos online. I don't want to use a site that will effect the quality of the photos. I have all the photo jobs on CD's but I want to back them up a second way. My computer is not to happy with me right now so I need to do something!! I don't care about price I am really looking for great quality if I need to pull them off the site in the future. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Free up to 200 pictures (try it out) and $25 per year for the pro option.

Quality? What you upload, you download (up to 20mb with pro account).

You can make you pictures private or give access by password or leave them open to all.

All kinds of info on it here....

My flickr pics here (any excuse....)

Click on a pic to get medium size, click on "all sizes" to get to the original.

Things like Deviantart, Photobucket and Flickr are all good photo hosting and storage websites. In order of preference for me, I would go Deviantart, Flickr and then Photobucket. Photobucket has never been my favourite one, but the last time I used it was about 3 years ago so who knows, it could have changed a lot since then.

I wouldn't trust online storage for backup of important files. Your best bet is to store your images on a memory card in a safe place at home. I use a OHM memory card reader to transfer photos from my hard drive to memory cards and vise versa.

I am VERY happy with my Zenfolio account. The site is never down, support is fantastic (they actually answer emails), the layout, slideshows etc look superb, there are many features..... I really am very happy with them.

Should you decide to sign up with them, please save yourself (and me, too) $5.00 by quoting my referral code: AN2-1S6-UJQ
