I recently purchased a Nikon D300 and have been enjoying the camera but am having trouble getting the image detail information to upload along with the image. Once my images are uploaded to my computer I don’t see the image details such as the mode, ISO, f stop, speed, etc. used when taking the photograph. The orientation of the photo doesn’t change during the upload even though I asked it to when taking photographs in portrait as opposed to landscape.

The information is on the CF card and is available when reviewing an image in the camera. I don’t have these issues with images uploaded from my D200 camera. Any thoughts on correcting these problems will be appreciated.

Thanks,

What software do you use? It should have come bundled with Capture NX. On the right side of the screen is a tab, I think it says "INFO" on it. If you click it (it is easy to miss if you're not looking for it, it's flush with the edge of the screen). it will show you what you're looking for.

i'm a happy 40D consumer yet once I exceeded off to return for the time of a determination of lenses like this i could be tempted to swap. The 35mm a million.8 on my own is somewhat worth approximately £250 is your pal loopy?. besides, if i grew to become into you i could do one in all 2 issues.. a million) sell all the lenses on eBay and purchase some high quality lenses for the 40D (70-200mm F/2.8 L IS case in point). or 2) sell the 40D and equipment lens and purchase a Nikon physique i individually could choose a million because of the fact I already have a lens sequence with my 40D and as such i'm kind of married to the device. If I have been YOU nevertheless i could swap in a heartbeat. those are very advantageous lenses yet i could could desire to verify that they are all nicely matched with the bodies you reported. As for the bodies, they're the two superb however the D300 could be my own selection, a outstanding digital camera which beats the 40D and D90 palms down. you're one fortunate b****d to have this selection, i'm jealous. .

Use Nikon ViewNX that came with the D300 to view your images.

There is a tab on the left to view the Camera Settings.
