How can I make my photo have a transparent background?

Please can someone help me? I am trying to find out how I can have transparent background at my images. And I dont want to download anything 'cause the last time I downloaded something I got loads of viruses and I had to re-install my windows :(

You have to have a software that can do this.
This software would let you crop the objects (usually by masking or by "coloring it to a neutral colour that you'd make transparent) and let you either delete the background, or make it transparent. This depends in the format that the image is in. GIF and PNG formats allow for this. JPG does not.

You have to have photoshop to mask out the background around the image because with pixels, there will always be a backgroung even when you delete it, it will be whatever the background color in photoshop is.
You have to either apply a mask and erase the background, use the magic wand tool to select the entire background, reverse the selection and then turn the selection into paths that you save as a path and then as a clipping path and the file as an eps, In photobucket they won't let you put an eps into their site, so I don't know how you will you it.
The other way is just go to paths and create a path around the image in the foreground, save the path, save it as a clipping path, then save it as an eps

It can be done in PhotoShop CS2, don't know about the one you are using
