I've not really messed around with Medium Format too much yet, but 6x6 seems interesting to me - mostly because it's a new set of compositional concepts to get the hang of. Composing for a square (I'm guessing) is bound to be different than the standard 35mm rectangle.

Well, my enlarger can only use 6X6 because that's the only size negative carrier I have for 120 film. (And I can never get my contact prints to look that sharp).

But I also like 6X6 because to me it just seems to help with composition. I like it for landscape photos because it just seems to naturally frame the subject the way I want and gives the feeling as if you're looking out through a kitchen window. I don't live in a very "picturesque" neighborhood, so I often have to tightly frame my subjects or try to shoot from certain angles. You know, you have a beautiful view of the mountains...but then it's just a shame that it gets ruined by the ugly apartment buildings or liquor store just a few degrees to the right. Sure, I can crop and edit the picture when I make the print, but I kind of like 6X6 because for me often it just naturally helps to frame the picture when I take it in the camera.

6x6 mostly because that is what I started with. Went from an old TLR to a Bronica SQA and just find it easier to frame and much easier to carry around then an RB67

I got hooked on the 6 x 6 because art directors wanted the final say in format. Later I found it easier to shoot weddings in 6 x 6 because I never had to flip the flash bracket, so I stuck with it.

6x4.5. I have used this on many personal albums.
