Holding your digital SLR with the body facing downward is recommended when you're changing lenses. This helps keep dust and debris from entering the camera body where it can land on the image sensor, leaving dust marks in your photos.

Always change lenses quickly. Replace end caps on the lenses to keep them clean. Whenever possible, change lenses in a clean environment.

Always do this with care !

Your camera and lens are both vulnerable when you change the lens. Dust and get into the camera and into the back of the lens.

I always, except when out in the field, do this sitting down at a table in a clean place. If you do get dust into your lens and camera you'll have to clean up and that takes time.

Don't speak, cough or sneeze while doing the change. Line up dots carefully and don't force the fitting.

Face the camera slightly down and the lens slightly upwards.

Line up the dots. Mine are white but they could be a different color on your lens. Usually you will then turn counterclockwise until you here a click.

It pays to read the manual here. You don't want to get that lens on the wrong way as you will have a difficult time getting it off.

Have you got rid of your Olympus and Nikon then ??

You should know how to put a lens on by now.

Very carefully. Read your manual. Watch the pins. Line up the red dots. Click into place.
