Is not smiling in photos unattractive?

Question

Well, first off, I'm probably unattractive to begin with anyway... but I was just wondering if smiling made someone more attractive in their photos... and I guess you can see this question based on two views - 1) attractive as in looking attractive and 2) a good picture.

some of my friends have taken some really awesome pics when they look really serious or sad. Smiling doesnt necessarily make a pic better

I assume it depends on the person's facial appearance. You could be a model, but everyone has a face that just doesn't work for them. Smile in some pictures, maybe when the time calls for it or when the version of your not smiling picture looks as if it could be bettered, and don't smile when you feel that you could still pull it off. It's really all about the angle of your face, the set and look of your eyes, lips, and overall the set of you.

Experiment and you will find that you can pull off either.

Smiling is always good. Not smiling brings down the mood of the picture, especially if other people are in it.



Even if its a small smile, it will make a big difference. Don't over do your facial muscles if you're insecure about your smile. Just practice in the mirror if you have to.



But in pictures people shouldn't judge the way you smile, they should cherish the memories that picture holds. :D

well, what is your definition of not smiling? It could either be a straight face, or a frown, depending on what the photo calls for and whether the persons correctly brings out that emotion, it could either be attractive or a good photo, which one do you think is more important?

you have appealing eyes & a appealing smile :) As for the nationality...i could say you're ecu yet do no longer understand precisely which u . s . a .. Lol i'm no longer good at guessing the place ppl are from :). i do no longer understand why you experience unattractive. i think of you look great and rather of watching your undesirable factors, only concentration on your good ones. Be constructive approximately your self, i'm particular you're a great & superb female.

Smiling shows confidence! So don't be shy. Some photos look good with no smiles like serious or professional photos.

if its off guard and its a look not smiling, but not too intense, it looks good. like a casual contentment. but smiling in your personal, best way will actually make you look better and happier when you look at the picture. look in the mirror, though it may seem silly, and try to master the best natural smile that looks good on you.



i found i look best when i let my jaws push my cheeks out and brighten my eyes by feeling excited about the picture.



try your way. be natural. think of something amusing. let a smile come on naturally.

I think smiling looks fake if it is forced. It always bothers me when people have to fake smiles. People look more natural without smiles and look posed with them.
