What type of box/objects can I use for a pinhole camera, that are easy to find or cheap to make for a college student? Thanks!!!

Depends on the quality of the image and reusability of the pin hole camera. Is it for a one of use to prove the concept?



Any thing can be use from cardboard match boxes, plastic icecream tubs, to metal or wooden boxes.



The main criteria is the size of the film you want to use. Then there is a formula for the filmsize to distance from the hole, size of pin hole and exposure length required.



Google how to make a pin hole camera will give you more than enough info on how to, and utube videos.

Thin cardboard box like cereals come in. Depending how did you want it, you can use Candy boxes [Milk Duds, Good & Plenty,etc.] up to a large Cereal box (without the bag.).
