I have to make a field guide for my Biology class in college. I have to take pictures and research mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and some other stuff. I don't know where in the surrounding Austin, San Marcos, area would be a good place to take pictures of wildlife. Any help would be appreciated :)

zoo.... and I'm not joking. Zoo is the best place to photograph wild life for amateur and semi pro photographers. Otherwise you need at least 400mm lens, knowledge and a lot of time.

I don;t know your area but google maps may give you some idea where to find zoo in your area :) Good Luck !

Sure Austin is a best location to are living however there's a quality little city that i are living in round new Braunfels. It is referred to as McQueeney. It's a great little town with a lake that we call Lake McQueeney. So if you want a more peaceable town McQueeny . If you wish to have the extra metropolis life then Austin or San Antonio or Houston is the best way to go.
