pictures and videos and mirror?

Question

so i look decent in the mirror but any video or picture i take im ugly :( it makes me wonder if thats what i really look like and i really hope not so please tell me if picture or video or mirror is more accurate cause i dont know anymore :( i been depressed i always thought i was ugly cause of these pictures and videos and i never really believed the mirror was correct can someone tell me what it is? thanks!

That always happens to me and at first i thought it was me but then when i took a picture with my friends expensive quality canon rebel tsi camera I looked exactly like what I saw in the mirror. so i think its probably because of your camera quality trying changing to a better camera like the one i just mentioned and see whether your opinion changes on how you look. Like i said it's probably the quality of your camera so try taking pictures with a higher resolution camera (a better quality one, i find that the more expensive they are the better your pictures turn out to look like what you see in the mirrors) if You still look "ugly' then try take pictures that are not up-close or try different poses and see which make you less 'ugly". Everyone looks best in real life.

You look like the mirror but people see the flipped version of you because it is simply a reflection. Try looking at the mirror when someone you know is looking in it and you will see.

I personally think video is most accurate.

The best way to find out for yourself is to get one or two friends/family members and observe them in the mirror, then take a picture of them then film a video of them (on a different camera from that used to take the photo).

Many people have different opinions on what is most accurate, but you need to stop being so self-conscious. If this is actually becoming a real problem for you, I suggest seeing a counsellor.

Cameras cannot duplicate what the human eye sees, however what they do see is everything; every little nook and cranny. When we photograph a scene the camera will find more objects in that scene than you thought were there in the first place. That is why you are probably shocked at how you look. You have to convince yourself just how wonderful you do look and this might just be a phase you are going through. Believe in the mirror. It will give the true answer. Tell yourself how beautiful you look
