So, its a picture of a giraffe and i want to crop it where its just the giraffe with NO background at all. So i think i need somethingwhere i just trace aroud thegiraffe and then it cuts it like thatbut i dont know what to use to do that. Please suggest something free and preferrably online (no download). Adobe Photoshop is one of the best programs, but you just want to do something simple. Gimp is great and it's free. Also, Google's Picasa is pretty nice and also free.

You could use paint. That already supposed to be downloaded onto your computer. It's got this feature that you can draw around the giraffe and crop it out just like you asked. It's free and everything. (it the star button..js) ... But yeah, it's super easy on Paint :) if you don't have it on your computer, I'm sure it's downloadable for free.

That's not cropping, that's selecting and masking. Try GIMP, it's free.
