I want to become a model and I don't have much connections so I'm looking for a good photographer that's not creepy and won't make me do things I dont want to.
I am going to be modeling for eye candy photography to help my friend make her profile but I need someone to help me make my profile too.
Also is there any good agencies in Edmonton area that won't con me out of my money and that pays me to model?

Details: i'm 5'4 100 lbs and I live close to Edmonton,Alberta,Canada
I don't do nudes
I'm not gonna pay a rediculous amount of money to model I'd rather get paid although I understand you don't get paid at first

Preferably car model or calendar model
Pin up kind of since I don't think I could do high fashion modeling

Unless you are 12 years old then you are too short except possibly for glamour modelling and that would include topless and nude.

it incredibly is impossible to tell as each company needs some thing distinctive in a portfolio. that's why it incredibly is a waste of money for human beings to pay for a whole portfolio before they have been signed via an company - by using fact the corporate is going to prefer to start from scratch, perchance merely retaining an straightforward headshot. Your pal desires to ask the corporate for specifics - what number photos do they like? what form of settings? what number distinctive clothing? what form of poses? Any props? additionally what form of artwork does this company e book? in the event that they are in particular reserving their expertise in young infants clothing catalogs they are going to prefer distinctive photos than in the event that they are reserving commercial print artwork for Fisher cost toys or Cheerios. Any company that may not in contact in putting jointly the portfolio isn't a great company.

Get an agent. As an unknown you will either need to find a photographer that will do TFCD (barter work) or pay to have a "book" made. I'd ask around my friends, look for photography students willing to trade their talent for theirs, and take a chaperon.

use a model photographer resource such as model mayhem to find a photographer who will shoot TFP with you.

What is TFP?

Shoot with as many photographers you are able to. This will enable you to:

a. build up a portfolio of images to show to agencies and photographers and hopefully get some paying work.

b. Gain experience in being a photographic model with respect to posing, expressions, lighting and makeup.

Have fun
