I love how her eyes stand out in the spot color, but then again, I love her coloring in the full color. Which do ya'll like better?

I feel like the yellow shirt takes away from this a bit? What do you think?

Depending on what look your going for...

For creativity...the Selective coloring

For realistic...the original

Most photographers go through a stage where they do a lot of color splash editing. I know I did.

The hope is that most photographers eventually get past that stage.

Reserve color splash for weddings and stuff, when it's what the customer wants. Other than that, avoid it. It's amateurish. Either go full color or don't.

Personally, I think the photo looks better in color than black & white. The color was one of the strong points, so taking it away emphasizes things that aren't as strong, like the lighting and composition.

Full color! The image looks sharper and much more professional. Spot coloring rarely works on photos. I actually think that full coloring brings her eyes out more because the tones in her fur work so well with the rich tones in her eyes. Great shot! Clean, sharp, and focused beautifully. :)

Good luck!
