Good ways to sneak in a DSLR for tonight!?

Question

I'm going to an concert tonight and I'd like to take my Nikon D40 and 50-200mm lens. After a year of my family and I being homeless, I was finally able to get it fixed probably after 2-3 years of it being broken. I've contacted the venue and asked if they permit camera's and they said "As long as the camera is the size of a disposable camera and has no special zoom or video features, it should be fine." - My brother and I are going. Usually my mom would tag along and she'd sneak it in for me but she's not going and this is the first concert my brother and I are going to without her. I will admit, I've been kinda stressing about this, it's someone who I've really wanted to see in concert and of whom is a hero of my/someone I do look up to.

I would love to take my DSLR in but I've been trying to think of ways to sneak it in. And just in case they catch me and tell me I can't bring it in, I'll take it back out to the car where my mom will be sitting. But, if there is anyone willing to give me an idea or two, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance.

I recommend wearing really big baggy pants and then wrapping the camera in a small bag and tying it to a belt loop. then just let it hang by your.....ya. most of the time when they search you they wont check there. good luck!

How can you POSSIBLY be so naive? Even if you sneak it in, there are security guards all over the place in the venue. You WILL be seen using the camera and the camera WILL be confiscated. I suppose you MIGHT get it back at the end of the show, but I would not depend on it.



Why don't you be smart and just go enjoy the show, even see if you can borrow a friend's point and shoot digital camera if you think you just have to try to take photos.



I'm assuming you even know HOW to take photos in such a place as concerns NO flash, setting ISO, white balance, and shutter speed?



Now give me a thumbs down since that seems to be what you are doing to everyone else trying to give you good advice and some common sense.

Don't try it. You could lose your camera or be banned from the venue.
