I am emailing a photographer to get a comp card started and he asked if I had any photos online? Is he referring to professional photographs or unprofessional (facebook)?

I was thinking about saying "I don't have any professional photographs but I do have a facebook, if that is what you meant."

Any of you with experience in dealing with photographers, or if you are a photographer.. help me out please. Thank you!

Well, I believe the answer you were considering is fine. In all likelihood, he wants to get a general impression of how you photograph, and how you look in whatever style and color you had worn. Either pro photos, or facebook images would do.

If you're hesitant to reveal any facebook info/images, simply respond that your site is private.

What you should wear, and clothing changes to bring to the shoot, should be settled with the photographer beforehand, as should any questions about makeup and hair styling.

Good luck; models are a valuable resource, that can make or break an image. :)

A good approach prior to choosing a photographer, is to review their website, to see if they shoot the image style you're looking for. And, of course, have someone, preferably a female friend (to keep the atmosphere relaxed), accompany you.

Look at it this manner, If I inform you I like your sweater, or that you've exceptional eyes, it does not imply I'm interested in you. It way you could have a exceptional sweater and eyes. Photographers and units; the bodily detail is their standards. Expect plenty of compliments, however do not take them too private, in that discipline.

He just wants to see what he will be possibly working with... we like to have a knowledge of what to expect before hand. I had a client that want to know if I charged extra for skin blemishes... I told her it all depended on how bad... over the phone she said that it wasn't too bad. When she got there, by comparison to her other family members it wasn't to bad... but for a normal perosn... it was bad. Pimples that look like snow capped mountains and surrounded by fire aren't normal touch-ups. And her family's were about the same but bloody scabs on them.... Lot's of touching up to get a natural skin tone

It really doesn't matter what type of photos they are. If you have any, just send the link. He is just wanting to get an idea of what you look like for what lighting and posing might be best for you.

he/she wants to get idea of your look - im sure they can tell the difference between a pro and amateur shoot - so if you have photos online (like face book or anything else) send a link
