I may develop the negatives at CVS and then make the prints in my school's darkroom, but they only have black and white chemicals. I'm not sure if this will work, I've heard from some website that it will but I'm still not sure.

The technical problem is that ordinary B&W paper is not sensitive to all colors. The different colors in your negative will expose the paper differently, e.g: a blue subject will appear red on your negative and would appear MUCH lighter than it should on your black and white print. Kodak used to make a paper called Panalure (long discontinued) which was designed to do exactly what you want. It was sensitive to all colors (special safelight or no safelight) and worked pretty well.

Nonetheless...have a go anyway! Use a variable contrast paper and see what happens.

If you do this your prints will be black and white. Also, the reddish tint of the color film negatives will give you contrast issues if you try to make the black and white prints. Under no circumstances should you try to develop the color film with black and white chemicals.

you may rather print shade negatives onto black and white (silver based) paper however the outcomes won't galvanize you. Black and White paper is made to be processed below a purple easy and shade unfavourable action picture has an orange base - almost purple - that the paper is merely approximately insensitive to. Enlarging exposures may be a techniques longer than you go with and the assessment may be very undesirable.

You can print C41 negatives on B&W paper. They may be a little grainy and you will have to play with the contrast filters a bit but you will get an image.
