I inherited an Olympus Evolt E-500 SLR camera and I know nothing about it. I feel confident enough to take pictures well enough... but when I try to take a picture of my 1 year old son, the flash goes erratically fast and frequent, causing him to squint in every photo I take. I've tried looking online to find the answer and I came up short. I need a simple explanation, if possible, and a solution to this. The sequence is like this: Auto focus, flash flash flash flash flash, shoot. Please, helpful answers only! Thank you!

I feel confident enough to take pictures well enough,,,,,,,,,,,yeah great, turn off the red eye reduction or auto focus - which ever is causing the flash to strobe

- try looking the above terms up in the book came with the camera - or the online manual

it incredibly is ultimate. it incredibly is referred to as "pre-flash". Cameras "stay" on easy and to concentration suitable they want easy - to that end the pre flash. My insurrection does the comparable even although i've got grew to become it off by way of fact I so seldom use flash in low easy. there is possibly a fashion so you might coach yours off yet you will get blurry photographs.

Turn off red eye, turn off af-assit and use CAF not SAF.
